Deep Texas Roots in Healthcare
The Wood family has deep Texas roots dating back nearly 200 years. Seven generations of Wood family members have provided health care to the people of the Great State of Texas. Four generations have focused on offering medical equipment and hospital supplies. Other family members have served as physicians, dentist, nurses, pharmacist and mid-wives. Another owned the Rexall Drug Store in Uvalde, Texas and the Uvalde Drug Company.
Wood Medical Supply continues to be part of our family health care provider tradition. We look forward to serving you today as our family members of the past have served Texas throughout the years.
Since 1976
Wood Medical Supply was founded in 1989, but its history dates back to 1976 when Milbern Wood began his career with the industry leader Abbey Medical. Mr. Wood established himself as a nationally-respected leader in the field of seating and positioning. Mr. Wood has instructed therapy department personnel and other vendors on proper seating and positioning throughout the United States.
